Position Overview The Digital Scholarship Lab (DSL) in Foley Center Library seeks a part‑time adjunct faculty to support faculty and student research, instruct lab staff, and collaborate on outreach and programming. The role includes maintenance of equipment and mentoring student employees. Key Details Title: Adjunct Library Research & Scholarship Support - Digital Scholarship Lab Area: Foley Library Department: Library Services Employee Classification: Adjunct Faculty Months per year: 4.5 Telework Availability: On‑campus position Salary Range: $24.15 per hour Review Date: 12/10/2025 Relocation reimbursement or signing bonus: No Job Purpose Support faculty and student research in the DSL and instruct lab staff during available hours. Collaborate with faculty and staff across departments to develop outreach and programming for campus use of DSL tools and software. Partner with library staff for equipment maintenance, supplies, and physical space management to support instructional and scholarly activities. Mentor a team of 6+ student employees who staff the lab. Essential Functions Develop student employees into peer trainers and research consultants. Instruct students, faculty, and staff in digital scholarship techniques and DSL software. Plan and execute workshops and outreach for campus on DSL tools and methods. Develop publicly available asynchronous learning resources. Collaborate with library leadership on daily operation, lab offerings, budget, scheduling, inventory, and safety compliance. Collaborate with library leadership on policies and procedures ensuring efficient and equitable access to the DSL. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree with experience in digital scholarship tools and methods. Advanced computer skills (high‑performance computing or coding such as Python, Arduino, R). Strong customer service skills. Ability to work effectively without direct supervision. Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud. Familiarity with Digital Humanities platforms.
