Music Teacher - SY 25-26 Camden City School District is seeking a Music Teacher for the 2025‑2026 school year. Pay Range Base salary: $59,127.00 per year (starting minimum). Job Details Location: Camden, NJ; Employment Period: Ten‑month, tenureable; Employment Type: Full‑time; Seniority Level: Entry level. Responsibilities Serve as a classroom leader, providing high‑quality, differentiated instruction. Set rigorous academic and behavioral goals, and monitor progress through data analysis. Design and implement comprehensive lesson, unit, and long‑term plans aligned with district standards. Co‑plan with Special Education teachers as needed. Track student achievement data and use it to inform instruction. Provide constructive feedback and consistently enforce classroom rules. Maintain students' grade and attendance records. Incorporate technology into lessons. Participate in professional development, team planning, and data analysis meetings. Support cross‑division projects as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (strongly preferred). Valid New Jersey Instructional (Teacher’s) Certificate – Teacher of General Music (Endorsement Code: 2100). Prior experience teaching low‑income students in an urban setting (strongly preferred). Valid driver’s license with current insurance and vehicle registration. Required criminal history background check, physical exam, and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status. Additional qualities: commitment to student success in high‑poverty communities, data‑driven instruction, strong communication, classroom management, ability to differentiate for all learners, flexibility, and a willingness to collaborate across the district.
