Position Description

Icon Art Services is Chicago's oldest and most experienced art handling company. We are looking for an art handler/driver with experience driving a straight truck. A class C license (non-CDL) is a plus. The position entails shipping, packing and installing fine art, artifacts and antique furniture. Potential candidates would work with our current staff on company trucks assisting museums, businesses, galleries and private collectors with their art handling needs. Icon runs a bi‑weekly shuttle between Chicago and NY which includes extra hours, increased pay and cash per diem. Potential candidates will need availability to travel on the shuttle at least once every 6 weeks. The driver/art handler position would have potential for full‑time and overtime hours. Hours can be flexible as weekly and daily schedules will vary. We are looking for a candidate with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and an interest in the varied challenges presented by the art service field. After an initial probationary period, Icon offers a group health insurance benefit, paid time off and company 401(k) plan.

Skills and Qualifications

• Fine art background preferred
• Knowledge of various art mediums
• Work experience at a museum or gallery
• Must be at least 25 years old
• Ability to lift 60lbs solo or 120lbs tandem

Compensation: $18-$21 based on experience
