Overview Agency 15 is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Media Planner/Buyer to join our growing media department. This is a critical role focused on traditional media planning and buying, with a strong emphasis on broadcast (TV and radio), out-of-home (OOH), and print. The right candidate will have deep knowledge of local and regional media landscapes, strong vendor relationships, and the organizational discipline to manage complex media schedules, insertion orders, and reconciliations. This position is ideal for a candidate who is confident in their media planning and buying capabilities, thrives on executional precision, and is looking for a long-term opportunity to take on more responsibility within a growing agency. The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow into a leadership role within 18-24 months.
Responsibilities
Media Planning and Strategy
Develop and execute traditional media plans across television, radio, print, and out-of-home
Collaborate with account teams to understand campaign objectives and deliver strategic media recommendations
Provide accurate reach, frequency, GRP, and CPM analysis to support media recommendations
Media Buying and Execution
Negotiate rates and placements with local, regional, and national media vendors
Issue insertion orders, confirm media schedules, and manage all aspects of campaign delivery
Monitor campaign pacing and delivery, troubleshoot issues with vendors, and ensure flawless execution
Reconcile invoices and work with finance to ensure budget accuracy and vendor compliance
Use media tools including GaleForce (preferred), Bionic, Nielsen Scarborough Insights, Comscore, and vendor-provided reports
Collaboration and Internal Process
Work closely with a junior media manager to delegate tasks and support execution
Coordinate with the creative team and account service to align production and media timelines
Build strong working relationships with vendor reps and internal departments
Support internal process development and documentation as the department scales
Reporting and Optimization
Create post-buy recaps and performance reports with insights and recommendations
Track campaign performance and recommend optimizations as needed
Present performance insights to internal teams or clients when appropriate
Qualifications
Required
4–8 years of media planning and buying experience, preferably at an advertising agency or media firm
Strong understanding of traditional media channels, including TV, radio, OOH, and print
Demonstrated ability to manage media budgets, insertion orders, reconciliations, and vendor communications
Experience with media management tools such as GaleForce, Strata, Bionic, or similar platforms
Familiarity with media measurement tools such as Comscore or Nielsen (and Scarborough Insights)
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
Experience mentoring or collaborating with media team members
Exposure to or interest in cross-platform media planning (digital, OTT, or CTV)
Vendor-side experience (broadcast or OOH) is a plus

Compensation: $55,000–$80,000 depending on experience
