About the Role
The Multimedia Production Coordinator supports large‑scale federal programs focused on early childhood education and family engagement. The role combines project coordination, content development, and bilingual communications to ensure accurate, accessible, and culturally relevant resources. Responsibilities span overseeing content creation, editing, translation, community engagement, and maintaining online platforms that promote collaboration nationwide.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $100,000 – $115,000.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day content development and production across web, mobile, and multimedia platforms.
- Provide subject matter expertise in early childhood education communications to guide content strategies.
- Contribute to the creation, editing, translation (English–Spanish), and publishing of high‑quality content.
- Assign and review work from staff and subcontractors, offering training, feedback, and guidance.
- Maintain and enhance online communities and virtual environments to foster collaboration and audience engagement.
- Represent editorial and brand standards across communications, ensuring compliance with accessibility and organizational requirements.
- Support project management functions, including developing process flows, scheduling, staffing estimates, task tracking, and reporting deliverables.
- Apply qualitative and quantitative data to strengthen communication strategies and improve user engagement.
- Collaborate with federal clients, subcontractors, and internal staff to deliver complex, high‑quality products on time.
- Identify workflow improvement opportunities and recommend solutions.
- Provide guidance and quality feedback on deliverables to ensure consistency and quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of professional experience in content development, project coordination, or production support, including at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
- Proven track record managing content development workflows for digital and multimedia products in deadline‑driven environments.
- Strong knowledge of editorial best practices, digital communications, and knowledge management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, mentor staff, and improve processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in early childhood education or community‑based program communications.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience working across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
- Experience supporting federal education or health programs.
- Familiarity with web content management systems, HTML, and digital publishing tools.
- 5 years of experience supporting Head Start programs.
- Knowledge of communications analytics and strategies for measuring engagement.
- Ability to apply cultural and linguistic insights to strengthen outreach, accessibility, and user experience.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (oral and written), with demonstrated expertise translating and adapting professional/educational content.
- Project Management Professional certification (PMP).
- Demonstrated experience working with and applying Agile methodologies.
