Community Manager The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager. As a Community Manager, you will manage all phases of the operations, including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration & risk management. As an on‑site leader, you will supervise all aspects of the property and staff to ensure compliance with Asset’s policies and procedures, safety and fair housing guidelines, and liability concerns.
Responsibilities
Personnel Management: screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on‑site staff; complete weekly and daily staff schedules; resolve performance issues; promote a culture of quality job performance.
Financial Management: achieve the highest possible net operating income through cost control and revenue & leasing improvements; develop yearly operating budgets and forecasts; monitor rent collections and vendor invoices; ensure accurate property closeout and financial reporting.
Leasing Management: develop yearly marketing plans; implement effective leasing techniques and systems; manage resident complaints and retention programs; show, lease, and move in prospective residents.
Administrative & Maintenance Management: ensure accurate administrative & leasing reporting; lead emergency response team; monitor service request turnaround; maintain property appearance; manage construction and rehabilitation activities.
Compliance & Safety: ensure staff compliance with company policies, fair housing laws, OSHA requirements, and emergency procedures.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four years’ experience in the housing industry; one to two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
Basic computer skills required; proficiency with on‑site software functions.
Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Salary Range $65,000 per year to $68,000 per year
