Pay Range Base pay: $50,000 – $70,000 per year (actual pay based on skills and experience).
Job Summary As an Instructional Designer, you will execute the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of training curricula and learning initiatives aligned with the organization’s strategic and operational goals. You will collaborate with management and subject matter experts to ensure learning solutions increase capabilities and performance, contributing to desired business results.
Key Responsibilities
Develop performance‑based learning solutions.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to define learning objectives and project expectations.
Recommend training and performance improvement interventions based on needs assessments.
Utilize existing training materials and partner with experts to determine appropriate course content.
Design innovative learning solutions using current best practices.
Develop assessment strategies aligned with objectives.
Use multimedia technology and authoring tools to create and update online modules, performance support tools, and classroom materials.
Solicit, manage, and implement constructive feedback from experts, stakeholders, and pilots.
Assist in uploading, publishing, and troubleshooting courses on Koorsen University Learning Management System.
Gather data to demonstrate impact of learning interventions at all Kirkpatrick levels.
Revise training materials and curricula based on evaluation data.
Facilitate ongoing improvement and maintenance of training curricula.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, English Communications, Business, or related field with 1+ year of instructional design and talent development experience.
1 year experience with Articulate, Adobe, and/or Camtasia.
Proven ability to analyze business needs and recommend measurable training solutions.
Strong ability to design, develop, and execute online, instructor‑led, and blended learning programs.
Proficient with content design tools and languages (MS Office Suite, web editors, Adobe Creative Suites, Articulate, Captivate, Snag‑it, Camtasia).
Solid knowledge of adult learning principles.
Solid knowledge of learning project management and full‑cycle L&D.
Effective facilitation and influence skills in a fast‑moving organization.
Superior writing skills; concise, creative, practical instruction.
Creative, flexible, innovative team player.
Good judgment and sound decision‑making ability.
Confidentiality of company policies.
Creative problem‑solving with minimal supervision.
Time management, decision‑making, communication, organization skills.
Ability to pass a background check.
