Main Function:

The Communications Officer is a full‑time position responsible for managing communications for Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation. This role creates and produces content across multiple channels and platforms to build brand awareness, showcase impact, and grow the donor base. The selected candidate will join a team of dedicated fundraising professionals in a fast‑paced, donor‑centered culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute communications and fundraising campaigns that build brand awareness and encourage target audiences to connect with and support the Foundation’s mission.

Create and publish content for print and digital channels, including direct mail, email, text messaging, social media, video, and websites.

Execute multi‑channel communications for the Foundation’s annual peer‑to‑peer fundraising campaign (Founders’ Day Challenge) and other fundraising efforts.

Manage websites and donation pages that demonstrate impact and encourage giving.

Maintain the Foundation’s story bank, taking lead on identifying and writing stories about key stakeholders and benefactors to demonstrate mission impact.

Develop and manage planned giving marketing campaigns and website.

Collaborate with the Philanthropic Services team to execute client campaigns.

Collaborate with fraternity professional staff and volunteers as needed.

Use audience data and segmentation to achieve organizational goals and metrics.

Organizational Chart:

Reports to the Vice President‑Engagement of the Educational Foundation.

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in fundraising, communications, marketing, or a related field.

3‑5 years of experience in a nonprofit or higher education environment preferred.

Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Skilled in visual design and storytelling to create compelling content for diverse audiences that supports strategic goals and objectives of the Foundation.

Experience with editorial calendar development, email marketing, graphic design, social media, video editing, digital asset, and website management.

Results‑driven to meet the mission, vision, and goals of the Foundation.

Self‑starter with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team structure.

Strong organizational skills and attention to quality, detail, and accuracy.
