Job Summary: Performs a variety of complex tasks associated with the creation, display, and selling of floral arrangements, plants, and flowers. Tasks may involve other personalized services.

Responsibilities

• Creates complex and intricate floral arrangements using a wide variety of design, construction, and artistic techniques.
• Advises customers on floral arrangements and prices.
• Instructs patrons on the care of flowers and plants.
• Takes special orders for flowers, transmits teleflora orders, and arranges deliveries.
• Operates a cash register and is accountable for the cash fund.
• Prepares required cash reports.
• Maintains records and logs related to the flower shop operation and keeps a library of catalogs and price sheets.
• Provides leadership and direction to flower shop associates.
• Assists in regular inventories.
• Exercises tact, good manners, and courtesy.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

General Experience

Two years of experience designing a variety of silk or fresh floral arrangements for everyday arrangements, weddings, funerals, etc.
