Our Client, a American Multinational Clothing and Accessories Retailer company, is looking for a Production Artist for their San Francisco, CA location.

Responsibilities

The Technical Production Artist – Contractor will support the Packaging and Labeling team to accurately and flawlessly develop final mechanicals for the ON packaging and labeling redesign.

Main Cross-Functional Partners for the Assignment :

Associate Manager, TPA – will oversee and work with the contractor to ensure that they have an understanding of how we currently build files and expectations for new files to be built by the contractor. Will meet when needed to devise plan of action & troubleshoot building mechanicals.

Marketing Coordinator – responsible for communicating all versions of artwork (owns passing off all codes / descriptions) that need to be created. Talks through any edits / updates with TPAs during proofing rounds. Ensures that TPAs are aware of key deadlines (proofing, releasing, etc).

Manager, P&L – Manages relationships with Marketing and P&L troubleshooting.

Packaging and labeling substrates, printing / finishing techniques, and structural development

Requirements

Knowledge of packaging design, pre-press, and printing process

Expert knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop

Proficiency in Excel, Outlook and

Uncompromising attention to detail and maintenance of the highest degree of quality

Excellent communication in written and verbal form

Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects

Have a sense of urgency in managing time and accomplishing tasks

Demonstrate pro-active problem-solving skills

Design sensibility

Ability to work with die lines and familiarity with packaging systems

Ability to identify production concerns and offer solutions in support of the creative concept

Create and maintain a cooperative team environment that promotes high performance standards and attainment of goals

Comfortable soliciting feedback / managing self-development

Ability to react to change

years bachelor's degree in design preferred

Previous experience building packaging and labeling mechanicals.
