Rate of Pay During training pay is 75% of a promoted Communications ELECTRICIAN ($31.61/hr). After promotion: $8,978.18/month.

Work Week Monday – Friday with standby days Saturday/Sunday.

Hours 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Principal Duties Responsibilities include construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of all power distribution and lighting applications. This includes maintenance and emergency repairs to movable bridges, completing required reports, and maintaining appropriate records for equipment and tools.

Priority Candidates’ Prerequisites For Maintenance Electrician Position

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to evaluate and analyze data related to electric power systems ranging from 69kV – 2.3kV, recommend operational improvements, identify repairs, and report safety concerns to supervision.

Candidate must facilitate and manage relationships with contractors to assist with timely repair and restoration of electrical systems.

Candidates must have experience in either Allen Bradley or Modicon systems essential for troubleshooting of control systems including movable drawbrid and power distribution.

Candidates must hold an NFPA 70E certification or be required to complete company-provided training for standard electrical safety.

Candidates must possess a valid Class (A) CDL driver’s license with air brake, combination vehicle, and hazmat endorsements. Non‑holders will need to pass testing.

Candidates must be able to climb steel towers and wooden structures up to 200 feet in various weather conditions for maintenance of 69kV–2.3kV primary and 480V–120V secondary systems, lighting, and movable bridges.

Candidates must provide proof of all relevant certifications and training in the electrical maintenance field.

Position requires 24/7 emergency call‑outs to support company operations.

Willingness and requirement to work extended stays at various terminals in the southern region.

All candidates will undergo an interview and skill evaluation for eligibility to be placed as maintenance electricians.
