Growing Engineering Design consulting is seeking a plumbing or piping designer to great detailed plans for piping and plumbing systems in various facility desing projects, using REVIT software to develop general arrangement drawings, isometrics, and 3D models while adhering to industry codes, material specifications, and client requirements.
About the Role
Key duties include coordinating with other engineers and stakeholders, selecting materials, ensuring compliance with regulations, and creating construction-ready documentation for residential, commercial, or industrial applications. Responsibilities
Design Development : Create detailed 2D and 3D piping designs, including layouts, routing, and support drawings for plumbing, HVAC, process, and utility systems. Software Proficiency : Utilize REVIT software to draft designs and create models. Code Compliance : Ensure designs comply with relevant builing and plumbing design standards, codes and project-specific material specifications. Material Selection : Based on fluid services and project requirements, select appropriate pipes, fittings, valves, and other components. Collaboration : Work with architects, engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure integrated and constructible designs. Problem-Solving : Analyze and resolve design challenges, ensuring the efficiency, accuracy, and safety of the piping system. Qualifications
Education : An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, drafting technology, or a related field is typically required. Experience : 5 - 10 years of experience in piping or plumbing design, often including experience with Revit Federal Design experience a significant plus
