About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for a Plumbing Designer to join a reputable engineering and design firm known for delivering innovative mechanical solutions across diverse projects. You’ll be responsible for designing complete plumbing systems—including domestic water, sanitary, storm, and gas systems—while collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure every project meets technical standards and client expectations.
The role offers autonomy, technical challenge, and professional growth for an experienced designer who enjoys detailed project work, problem‑solving, and mentoring others in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed plumbing system designs, drawings, and specifications for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.
Perform all required engineering calculations to ensure system functionality and compliance with applicable codes (IPC, UPC, etc.).
Review and coordinate with architectural and mechanical drawings to ensure integration of plumbing systems.
Assign and review drafting/modeling work related to plumbing design in AutoCAD and Revit.
Conduct site visits, field verification, and construction administration tasks (RFIs, submittals, punch lists).
Attend client meetings and maintain professional communication throughout each project phase.
Contribute to the development and improvement of plumbing standards, fixture selections, schedules, and specifications.
Qualifications
68 years of experience as a Plumbing Designer.
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems codes and design standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
CPD certification strongly preferred (not required).
5 years service work in BAS / HVAC / Construction.
Required Education: universal EPA.
