*This is an 8 hour per week/ 13 week position for fall 2025 term only.
The Grizz Recovery Marketing Assistant is responsible for implementing the GR mmm marketing plan under the direction of the Grizz Recovery Coordinator.
Students in social work, counseling or psychology preferred.
Required Qualifications:
Students with experience in substance use disorders and addiction recovery.
Experience in public speaking.
Familiarity with Oakland university policies and procedures related to event planning and marketing strategies.
Must have senior class standing at Oakland University by fall 2025.
Current cumulative and semester GPA must be 3.0 or higher.
Proficiency in grant and proposal writing.
Knowledge of Microsoft and Canvas applications.
Must not be found responsible for serious conduct violations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as attention to detail.
Duties include:
Advertising and marketing of GR programming via tabling, campus collaboration and campus wide events.
Implementation of GR marketing plan to include design, execution and evaluation of plan.
Social Media design and execution.
Community outreach and service planning and execution.
Planning and participation in substance free student events.
Participation in programming and activities with focus on decreasing the stigma of addiction throughout campus.
Conduct light clinical/risk assessment with supervision.
