An established and growing fire protection contractor in Austin, TX is seeking two experienced Fire Sprinkler Designers to join their team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a collaborative, fast-paced, and supportive environment working on high-profile, long-term projects.
Position Details
- Title: Fire Sprinkler Designer (2 openings)
- Location: Austin, TX
- Compensation: $60,000 $135,000 annually ($30$50/hr DOE)
Projects You'll Work On
You'll have the opportunity to contribute to major commercial and institutional projects across Central Texas, including:
- Large-scale airport developments (prevailing wage projects)
- University and educational facilities
- High-end mixed-use and commercial builds
- Long-term construction projects (typically 12+ months)
What They're Looking For
- Active NICET Level III or RME-G License (required)
- 4+ years of fire sprinkler system design and engineering experience
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Proficiency in design software such as HydraCAD, HydraCALC, SprinkCAD, AutoSPRINK, or Revit
- Solid understanding of NFPA standards, fire protection codes, and hydraulic calculations
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate across teams and occasionally travel between offices
