Williams Metcalf Interiors is an interior design firm located in Park City, Utah and Hanover, New Hampshire. We work with a broad range of residential clients on projects including new home design, renovations and updating existing interiors. We are looking for a Junior Interior Designer who will collaborate with the Senior Designers on all aspects of client projects. You will assist at each stage of the project including conceptual design, presentations, design development, production, fulfillment, and installation.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of design experience with an exceptional design sensibility, a passion to grow and learn, and a strong work ethic. Our Junior Interior Designer should be professional, organized, personable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable multitasking and working on a deadline. A flexible team player who excels in a fast-paced environment and displays discretion, integrity, and a thirst for learning will succeed in this position.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree (in Interior Design is preferred)
Minimum of 2-years of work experience in the interior design or related field
Proficient in Revit
MS Office suite including Excel
Experience sourcing and specifying all product relative to interior design
Self-starter who catches on quickly and takes initiative
Team player who takes responsibility without excuses
Work well under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong commitment and work ethic, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task while working independently
Pet-friendly since there are three dogs in the office most days
RESPONSIBILITIES
Gather samples, pricing, lead times, specifications and other necessary information for all furniture and build-related items
Source and assist in making product selections for Senior Designer approval
Take and record meeting notes
Field measure and document existing building conditions
Assist and participate in client meetings and presentations
Create schedules for final ordering for each project
Assist with project installations
Stay current on new products and resources to ensure our design specifications, products and presentations are the finest
Work some evenings and weekends, as needed
