Part-Time SBDC Client Coordinator and Marketing Specialist
The Blinn College District is searching for a Part-Time SBDC Client Coordinator and Marketing Specialist at our Brenham Campus.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Provides support to the SBDC office by maintaining client confidentiality while creating financial spreadsheets, editing business plans, performing internet research and preparing federal mandated contracts.
Provides extensive and comprehensive business consulting services (one-on-one consulting) for clients in the helping them create and maintain business websites.
Responds to the client's needs through confidential communication, conducting research and presenting viable options for improved marketing and business strategies. Help clients implement their plans/strategies.
Creates original graphics and marketing pieces for SBDC and client use while copy writing, editing, proofreading, taking, editing, and enhancing digital photographs for SBDC and client use.
Assist with organizing training seminars, workshops and events, scheduling client appointments and use of SBDC training room.
Responsible for maintaining the SBDC website design and content. Also assist with SBDC's advertising and logistics.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Required Degree, License or Certifications
High School Graduate or GED
At least 4 years of administrative experience and/or direct marketing experience in a small business
Minimum Competencies
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Knowledge, skills and abilities in use of MS Word, Access, Excel, Publisher, Photoshop, CorelDraw, Canva, Wix Web builder, Shutterstock, HTML, CSS, the internet and email.
Maintain confidential client files, per SBDC policy.
Must be a self-starter, dependable, process and goal orientated.
Excellent customer service skills along with working within a team atmosphere.
Preferred Qualifications Associate's Degree
Preferred Competencies None specified.
Special Notes To Applicants This is a part time position, maximum of 19 hours per week.
This position is 100% grant funded, therefore, this position is not permanent and will be eliminated once the grant funding is spent, grant ends or the fiscal year ends, whichever comes first.
