Training Support Package (TSP) Writer
GDIT is the Prime contractor for the Flight School Training Support Services (FSTSS) program, which supports the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE). Located in Daleville, Alabama, GDIT owns and operates the facilities that provide flight simulator training.
GDIT has an immediate opening for a Training Support Package (TSP) Writer supporting the Flight School Program. As a TSP Writer you will be working in training development and tactical deployment aviation assets.
HOW TSP WRITER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Assist customers in the development and execution of training scenarios to meet their training objectives.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Conduct formal briefings to senior army officers and other personnel.
Perform Intelligence Preparation of Battlefield (IPB) and the military orders production process.
Develop doctrinal orders and products that adhere to the Army’s Decisive Action Training Environment (DATE) to support unclassified simulation exercises.
Work in a variety of simulation and gaming environments.
Use computer simulation and gaming technologies to create and manage a virtual operational environment for military mission training.
Use U.S. Army Aviation experience to guide realistic training, roleplay various aviation positions, ground forces, Opposing Forces, etc.
Coordinate with course instructors on synchronizing events in missions, injecting mission changes, recording key events for After Action Review (AAR).
Perform Intelligence Preparation of Battlefield (IPB) and the military orders production process.
Develop, update and present doctrinal orders, manage and synchronize products that adhere to the Army’s Decisive Action Training Environment (DATE) to support simulation exercises.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Education : High School Diploma / GED
Required Experience : 6 years of related experience.
Experience on Battalion Staff or Higher.
Familiarization with Army DOTD publications and directives. Knowledge of doctrinal, tactical, technical, and conceptual aspects of aviation tactics.
Experience or education in adult theories of learning, instructional design practices, evaluating program effectiveness.
Ability to apply current military radio technology and multi-media to develop and apply to training program.
Army aviation experience, including Command Post (CP) experience.
Working knowledge of Command Post Systems (CPOF / CPCE).
Experience in training education and instructional design.
Ability to read / comprehend written and verbal mission expectations and guide junior personnel with experience and work guidance.
Review and edit all doctrinal and technical documents and manuscripts produced, rewrite sentences to correct grammatical and typographical errors, misspelled words, improve structure, and enhance clarity of presentation.
Experience in training development and tactical deployment of aviation.
Knowledge of current Army air frames and their general capabilities.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communications skills to develop training programs and procedures.
Good presentation skills, both in person and in distance learning.
Good interpersonal skills to facilitate effective working relationships with customers and team members.
Good personal computer, software, and multi-media skills.
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Security Clearance Level : Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.
U.S. Citizenship Required.

The likely salary range for this position is $56,950 - $77,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
Scheduled Weekly Hours : 40
Travel Required : Less than 10%
Telecommuting Options : Onsite
