IMPH is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to informing policy to improve health and health care across the state. We’re seeking a talented Communications Associate to lead external communications, manage our digital presence, and support strategic outreach efforts.
What You’ll Do
Lead external communications and marketing aligned with IMPH’s strategic communications plan
Manage writing and style guides to ensure consistent branding and voice
Develop and manage content for IMPH’s website, social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, X), and email newsletter
Coordinate with media and marketing consultants to promote IMPH’s work
Support legislative engagement and taskforce communications
Guide development of data visualizations and communications templates
Maintain and optimize IMPH’s Mailchimp database
Assist with event logistics and emerging organizational needs
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or related field
3+ years of relevant experience (5+ preferred)
Exceptional writing and editing skills, especially for diverse audiences and health topics
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, and WordPress
Experience with social media management and communications campaigns
Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
Bonus: Photography, public speaking, and Adobe Creative Suite experience
Part‑Time Benefits (for employees working no more than 30 hrs/week)
