Base pay range

$144,000.00/yr - $172,000.00/yr

As the Director of Product Marketing, youll lead the strategy and storytelling that connect our product vision to customer outcomes. Youll drive the positioning, messaging, and gotomarket strategy that fuels awareness, drives adoption, and accelerates revenue across the student lifecycle. In this role, youll play a critical part in improving win rates and driving revenue generation from both existing and new customers, ensuring our solutions clearly articulate the value Mongoose delivers.

This role sits at the intersection of Product, Sales, and Customer Success, serving as the connective tissue that ensures every launch lands with impact, every solution is understood, and every customer sees the value Mongoose brings to their institution. Over time, youll scale the function into a strategic growth enginedeepening our market insights, sharpening our narrative, and elevating how we influence buying decisions across higher ed.

What Youll Do:

  • Lead Product Positioning & Narrative: Develop clear, compelling, insightdriven positioning and messaging that articulate who we are, the problems we solve, and the value we deliver across the student lifecycle.
  • Drive GoToMarket Strategy & Execution: Build and run endtoend GTM motions for new products, features, and enhancementspartnering closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure every launch is coordinated, impactful, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Lead Lifecycle & Segment Strategy: Design and optimize fullfunnel programs that support awareness, adoption, expansion, and retention.
  • Build HighImpact Sales Enablement: Create messaging frameworks, competitive positioning, objection handling, pitch decks, battlecards, and training programs that empower Sales to tell a strong, consistent, valuedriven story.
  • Fuel Customer Adoption & Expansion: Partner with Customer Success to deepen product understanding, drive adoption, strengthen health, and create compelling crosssell and upsell motions.
  • Turn Insights Into Strategy: Bring structured insights on customer needs, competitive shifts, buying behavior, and market trends to inform product strategy and GTM prioritization.
  • Elevate Mongooses Category Leadership: Shape our point of view on the future of student engagement and lead initiatives that strengthen our authority in the market.
  • Collaborate Across the Company: Work handinhand with Product, Sales, CS, Marketing, and Leadership to ensure alignment across roadmap, messaging, campaigns, and field enablement.

  • Product Marketing Expertise with Range: Lead positioning, messaging, and GTM strategy in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Strategic Storytelling & Narrative Craft: Translate insights, data, and product vision into stories that land and drive commercial outcomes.
  • GTM Leadership & CrossFunctional Partnership: Align teams around launches, build readiness plans, and equip the field to win.
  • Customer Marketing that Drives Adoption, Expansion & Advocacy: Build strategies that deepen engagement and surface success stories.
  • Sales Enablement that Moves Deals: Build battlecards, pitch decks, competitive briefs, and messaging guides that boost win rates and deal velocity.
  • InsightsDriven Decision Making: Gather and synthesize insights across the market, competitors, customers, and usage patterns.
  • Builders Mindset & Operational Rigor: Build scalable systems that elevate product marketing across the organization.
  • Leadership Through Influence: Communicate trust, navigate nuance, and foster alignment across teams.
