Student Marketing Assistant – Overview

UAS Career Services seeks a Student Marketing Assistant to design and produce marketing materials, maintain social media presence, and support communication initiatives for career development programs and resources. Responsibilities

Create marketing materials for career programs. Maintain and update Facebook, Instagram, and other social media channels. Support communication initiatives for career development. Collaborate with staff and students to promote career services. Qualifications

Social media-savvy, organized, friendly, with attention to detail. Basic understanding of marketing and communications principles. Intermediate experience with Facebook and Instagram. Effective written and oral communication skills; positive interaction with students, staff, and employers. Ability to handle confidential information ethically. Familiarity with Google apps. Commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Problem solving, decision making, flexibility for quality customer service. Basic design tool proficiency or willingness to learn (Canva, Illustrator, etc.). Ability to work well with peers, staff, and independently. Position Details

Location: Juneau campus at the University of Alaska Southeast. Part‑time, non‑exempt student position, $15.00 per hour during the academic year. Pooled position; applications reviewed as needed. EEO and Legal Statements
