We have an opening for an efficient and independent

Flexographic Press Assistant

on 1st shift.

What your day will look like: As a Flexographic Press Assistant, you will stage materials needed for production jobs including tooling, inks, and material. You will mount plates for upcoming jobs and assist the Press Operators in efficient change-overs and press clean-up to help minimize down-time in production. Press Assistant employees are responsible for assisting Press Operators with the production of a quality product in the most efficient manner possible.

General Duties of the Press Assistant

Stage and put away materials, dies, print cylinders & inks.

Mount plates.

Mixing inks.

Splicing raw material rolls onto press.

Complete press double checks.

Ensure quality in the items they produce.

Keep production area clean, neat, and organized.

Physical Requirements

Press Assistant employees must be able to pass a test for color‑blindness. Potential employees will be tested for color at a local eye care facility.

Must be physically able to lift up to 50lbs

Required education:

High school or equivalent

Advantage Label & Packaging is located in Grand Rapids, MI. Hours for this position are Monday-Friday 6:45 AM - 2:45 PM.

What We Look for in a Candidate

High school diploma/GED preferred but not required

Experience with Mark Andy line of presses highly desired.

Familiarity with computerized production systems.

Demonstrated ability to make optimal use of time available by analyzing workload and maintaining focus on priorities and time‑sensitive tasks.

Proven ability to interact and engage with the rest of the team and work together towards a common goal.

Ability to pass a test for color blindness.
