Description The incumbent will:
Request, follow‑up, obtain, and validate authorizations/referrals/notifications with appropriate CPT and ICD‑10 codes for Radiation Oncology and/or Oncology Infusion.
Operate in a call‑center environment and meet individual quality metrics.
Coordinate patient flow, timely processing, and maintain knowledge of insurance requirements, pricing, and financial assistance options.
Provide professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages, families, employees, physicians and community members.
Qualifications
High School Diploma required.
Associate Degree preferred with 3 years of experience in validating/obtaining authorizations with insurance payers, or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
Complete and pass the Patient Access training course.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced work environment and perform basic mathematical calculations.
Knowledge of healthcare regulatory guidelines (HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA) desirable.
Knowledge of authorization guidelines for Radiation Oncology/Oncology Infusion.
Understanding of insurance contracts, medical terminology, authorizations and pre‑certifications.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and EMR applications.
Bilingual (English, Spanish/Creole) a plus.
Minimum required experience: 3 years.
Employment type: Full‑time. Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level.
