Overview
Dompé is an Italian bio-pharmaceutical company dedicated to innovation and patient wellness. Dompé’s breakthrough ophthalmic biologic product, Oxervate, addresses neurotrophic keratitis (NK), a rare and progressive eye disease.
Location San Mateo, CA, US (Remote work available for the right candidate)
Compensation $200,000 – $235,000 a year (base salary, incentive bonus, and benefits package customary to the position)
Role Summary The Director, HCP Marketing reports to the Senior Director, Brand Lead. The Director will develop and execute the HCP brand strategy for Oxervate in the U.S., focusing on prescriber growth, patient acquisition, and disease awareness.
Core Responsibilities
Collaborate with PRC partners to create compliant, impactful brand materials.
Partner with sales force (KAM) advisory boards to align brand strategies, gain customer insights, and support field effectiveness.
Participate in annual brand planning workshops, assist with final plan development.
Refresh the Oxervate campaign for the early 2026 launch (strategy, market testing, execution).
Evaluate disease awareness campaign effectiveness, run analytics, and recommend enhancements for educating ECPs on NK.
Co‑create market research tools with insights and analytics teams to drive business decisions.
Serve as a liaison to field marketing, align brand strategy, and understand field needs.
Create speaker decks for sponsor programs and symposia.
Act as the project sponsor for PRC approval of HCP resources.
Design and execute booth strategy for national conferences.
Collaborate with sales leadership on National Sales Meeting goals and create marketing content for those meetings.
Partner with sales training on workshop strategy and execution for National Sales Meetings.
Develop and execute a marketing communications plan (print, trade media, etc.).
Work cross‑functionally and compliantly across marketing, sales, and market access, and PRC to deliver effective resources and communications.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (MBA or master’s level degree a plus).
10+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, med device, or broader healthcare commercial experience (at least 5 years in marketing).
Experience in HCP marketing at a biotech, pharma, or med device company.
Experience managing external vendors including agencies of record (AORs).
Recent ophthalmology experience a plus (ideally anterior segment).
Experience developing and implementing product and/or disease education campaigns.
Proven self‑driven, results‑oriented work history.
Experience collaborating with market research to gain customer insights that drive business activities.
Self‑starter capable of taking action on challenges with appropriate planning.
Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical legal and regulatory requirements and material approval process.
Experience with cross‑functional review committees.

Partnering with AOR to create impactful branded campaigns.
