Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a
Telecommunications Superintendent
to support a company focused on security systems within the DOD. This position can support various markets throughout the DMV area, with bases in
Manassas, Stafford, Richmond, and South Hill, Virginia . This is a direct-hire opportunity supporting a national leader in secure, resilient power and technology systems. The
Telecommunications Superintendent
will work 100% in the field at various data centers, supporting the day-to-day operations of the project.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily activities of crews ranging from 5–30 technicians, ensuring efficient execution of project plans, maintaining job site safety through inspections and meetings, and assisting with installations to meet schedule and budget goals.
Develop and manage project schedules, coordinate labor and material needs, plan equipment logistics, and execute full project lifecycle activities including kick-off, procurement, installation, commissioning, and close-out.
Interface with internal teams (engineering, field personnel) and external stakeholders (clients, contractors, senior management) to resolve issues, explain plans and contracts, and address project concerns.
Maintain detailed project records, track progress using project tools, manage as-built documentation, and ensure continuous quality control aligned with industry standards and client specifications.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience with Telecommunications and electronic security projects.
Experience with managing subcontractors, work crews, and personnel while coordinating construction requirements, phasing plans, and owner needs.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, IT, Construction Management, or related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: $90,000–$105,000 depending on experience.
