Reporting to the Executive Director within the U.S. HIV Prevention Business Unit, the
Senior Director, HCP Marketing – Market Expansion
will serve as the architect and trailblazer of a new prescriber engagement model. This pivotal leadership role will define and execute a bold strategy to expand the HIV prevention prescriber base, focusing on historically non‑prescribing or under‑engaged healthcare professionals (HCPs).
This is an opportunity to build something from the ground up—shaping how Gilead engages with HCPs to enhance the reach of the product through appropriate HCP settings. The successful candidate will combine strategic vision, executional leadership, and deep market insight to create scalable, culturally responsive solutions that drive awareness, confidence, and prescribing behavior in new corners of the healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead a comprehensive HCP marketing strategy for market expansion.
Reimagine how Gilead supports new HIV prevention treatment prescribers with scalable, high‑impact tools and education.
Translate insights into messaging that builds confidence and reduces stigma.
Lead development of the HCP POA, including call flows and objection handling.
Orchestrate cross‑functional execution with Sales, Medical, Access, and more.
Engage medical societies, academic institutions, and advocacy groups to influence care standards.
Define launch milestones, KPIs, and tracking systems to ensure executional success.
Deliver strategic updates and insights to senior leadership with clarity and confidence.
Champion inclusion and equity in all HCP‑facing initiatives.
Bachelor’s Degree & 14+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech marketing experience, including HCP and launch leadership.
Track record of building engagement models in new therapeutic spaces or stigmatized areas.
Expertise in HCP behavior change, segmentation, and education.
Proven cross‑functional leadership and executive influence.
Commitment to equitable healthcare access and systemic impact.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and Fourteen Years’ Experience
OR
Masters' Degree and Twelve Years’ Experience
OR
PhD and Twelve Years’ Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven ability to drive market penetration in settings where sensitive topics are often deprioritized
Experience translating ethnographic and behavioral insights into strategies that shift clinical engagement
Track record of enabling HCPs to navigate nuanced, stigmatized patient conversations with confidence
Skilled in designing educational tools that integrate prevention into broader care discussions
