Description

The Experience Designer crafts the connective tissue between the customer and Apple’s products across its digital ecosystem. Working closely with creative and technical partners, they define journeys, interactions, and design systems that bring clarity and delight to every touchpoint. They have equal parts strategic curiosity and craft excellence, to make the complex feel simple.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead Strategy and UX from concept through delivery, aligning business goals, customer needs, and design direction.
  • Present strategies, concepts, and design rationale clearly to partners and leadership.
  • Create clear and compelling UX documentation, including user flows, sitemaps, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
  • Leverage analytics, user testing, and customer insights to inform, validate and refine design decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with writers, designers, developers, and producers to develop clear and effective UX solutions.
  • Guide the user experience direction for a broad audience, advocating for user needs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Iterate on designs rapidly based on feedback, research, and evolving project needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience in digital product, service, experience design or a similar field.
  • Demonstrated strength in both experience strategy and design execution, supported by a portfolio of thoughtful, high-impact work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in planning and synthesizing user research to uncover insights and opportunities, and translating them into actionable frameworks and design direction.
  • Experience planning and facilitating workshops to gain alignment, uncover insights, and drive clarity across creative and business teams.
  • Strong experience developing end-to-end customer journeys and defining product or platform visions.
  • Deep understanding of content strategy, system design, usability, analytics, and information architecture, with the ability to connect customer insights to business goals.
  • Exceptional ability to articulate complex UX concepts and design rationale clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to produce highly refined and annotated wireframes, prototypes, and user flows.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $146,800 and $221,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
