E-Commerce Marketing Automation Specialist

The E-Commerce Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for overseeing and optimizing our automated marketing campaigns for the ecommerce channel. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to create personalized and seamless experiences for customers, driving engagement and increasing conversions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of marketing automation tools, ecommerce strategies, and customer behavior to create data-driven, automated solutions that enhance the customer journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Campaign Strategy & Execution:

Develop and execute data-driven marketing automation strategies for email, SMS, push notifications, and other channels to drive customer engagement, conversion, and retention.

Automation Workflows:

Design, implement, and optimize automated workflows and customer journeys, ensuring seamless experiences from initial touchpoint to post-purchase communication.

Segmentation & Targeting:

Collaborate with Analytics Manager to analyze customer data, segment audiences and deliver personalized content and promotions to customer groups based on behavior, demographics, and purchase history.

Platform Management:

Manage and optimize ecommerce marketing automation platforms ensuring technical accuracy and smooth integration with other tools.

A/B Testing & Optimization:

Conduct A/B tests to continually improve campaign performance, leveraging insights to refine strategies and tactics for maximum impact.

Analytics & Reporting:

Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics to track campaign success and identify opportunities for improvement.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the ecommerce, product, content, and creative teams to align marketing automation strategies with business goals and product launches.

Customer Experience Focus:

Ensure all automated communications reflect the brand voice, adhere to best practices for customer engagement, and create a positive experience for customers across all touchpoints.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

3-5 years’ experience in an e-commerce environment AND minimum 2 years’ experience with marketing automation

DTC Ecommerce experience required

Hands on experience with Marketing Automation platforms, Listrak experience required

Strong understanding of email and SMS capabilities, best practices and regulations

Experience with customer segmentation and customer journey mapping

Proficient in analytics tools (e.g.; Google Analytics, PowerBI, Tableau)

A Data-drive mindset with focus on testing, optimization and continuous improvement

Should enjoy solving complex problems and are able to work independently

Stay up-to-date on standards, best practices and current strategies

Highly effective communication skills

Possess strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to write technical documentation & interpret business requirements

Real-time problem-solving
