This role is more than design, it's about storytelling, innovation, and impact. Working closely with our National Design Manager, you’ll guide the creation of high-quality visualizations that reflect brand identity, elevate user experience, and support operational excellence.

What You’ll Do Design Direction & Delivery

Coordinate the development of design concepts, documentation, and 3D visualization for national projects.

Translate briefs into compelling visual narratives that communicate design intent with clarity and creativity.

Deliver high-quality renders, animations, and walkthroughs that bring food service and hospitality environments to life.

Ensure all design outputs align with brand, operational, and compliance requirements.

Collaboration & Coordination

You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders, mentor emerging talent, and push the boundaries of digital design.

Facilitate engaging design presentations with clients, operational leaders, and executives.

Partner with Marketing & Brands teams to align storytelling with Compass identity and client expectations.

Liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution and accuracy.

Innovation & Visualisation

Advance the use of visualisation tools, standards, and workflows across the design team.

Explore and implement cutting‑edge digital presentation methods (e.g., VR/AR, real‑time rendering).

Stay ahead of design technology trends to enhance visual communication and efficiency.

Project Management & Quality Assurance

Manage multiple projects concurrently, delivering consistent visual quality on time.

Balance creativity with precision, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Refine visual deliverables to uphold Compass design and brand standards.

Contribute to design reviews and post‑project evaluations to drive continuous improvement.

Mentorship & Team Contribution

Support and mentor junior designers in rendering techniques, storytelling, and software proficiency.

Help develop templates, visual standards, and shared design resources.

Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative team culture.

What You’ll Bring

3–5 years’ experience in commercial interior design, ideally within food service, hospitality, or workplace sectors.

Tertiary qualification in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.

Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft 365.

Expert knowledge of visualisation and rendering software (e.g., Enscape, V‑Ray, 3ds Max).

Proven ability to deliver exceptional visual outcomes under tight timelines and across multiple concurrent projects.

Strong conceptual design skills and a keen eye for composition, materiality, and spatial storytelling.

Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams and engaging effectively with stakeholders.

High attention to detail, organization, and quality assurance across all design deliverables.

Ability to mentor others and promote innovation in digital design tools and workflows.

Passion for creating environments that balance creativity, functionality, and user experience.
