Save Job

You’ll be the CEO’s communications engine—turning strategy into narratives that move customers, partners, media, analysts, recruits, and employees. This B2B role sits in Marketing and works shoulder-to-shoulder with Brand/Comms, Product Marketing, Demand Gen, People Ops, Sales/CS leadership, and the CEO’s office. You’ll ghostwrite with credibility, run a tight editorial cadence, and convert every CEO moment into measurable impact.

What You’ll Do Narrative & Strategy Own the CEO message house (vision, category, product/market POV) and keep it aligned with GTM priorities. Translate company strategy into talk tracks tailored for customers, prospects, partners, analysts, and investors.

Thought Leadership & Content Ghostwrite/edit op-eds, bylines, keynote scripts, fireside chats, LinkedIn/X threads, long‑form essays, and podcast prep. Build a quarterly editorial calendar tied to launches, events, and demand themes; create reusable content kits from CEO moments.

Executive Social Grow CEO + execs’ qualified LinkedIn audiences via consistent posts and active engagement; track ICP follower adds, engagement rate, and sourced meetings. Define voice, cadence, and channel mix; draft posts, manage approvals, and monitor engagement/DMs.

PR & Media Interface Partner with PR (agency) on story mining, pitch angles, embargoes, and briefings. Create media briefs, Q&A, data points, and proof stories; provide day‑of support and follow‑ups.

Events & Speaking Source and secure high‑impact stages (industry conferences, customer summits, podcasts). Own abstracts, bios, session descriptions, decks, and run‑of‑show; coordinate rehearsals.

Internal Communications Draft All‑Hands remarks, weekly/biweekly CEO notes, change/reorg comms, and AMA guides. Keep internal and external narratives consistent; equip leaders with cascade toolkits.

Issues & Crisis Comms Maintain rapid‑response playbooks, holding statements, and escalation paths with Legal/HR/PR. Monitor signal (social, outages, market events) and advise on response.

Analyst/Investor Alignment (as needed) Coordinate CEO inputs for analyst briefings and investor storytelling; ensure metrics and claims are accurate and consistent.

Ops, Tools & Measurement Stand up light editorial ops (intake, pipeline, approval SLAs, asset library, newsroom page). Build dashboards for exec comms performance: quality coverage/SOV, stage wins, CEO social engagement in ICP, sourced meetings, and post‑event impact on pipeline.

What Success Looks Like (6–12 Months) Consistent, on‑message CEO presence across media, events, and social with measurable lift in qualified reach and engagement in our ICP. Tier‑1/Tier‑2 vertical coverage that advances our category leadership and supports pipeline creation. A reliable editorial engine that turns CEO time into scalable assets for Marketing, Sales, and CS. Strong internal comms rhythm that drives clarity, alignment, and trust.

What You Bring 5–8 years in B2B executive communications, PR/content, or analyst‑facing roles (vertical SaaS or construction/field service/industrial tech a plus). Elite ghostwriting and speechwriting chops—comfortable with technical topics and data‑backed arguments. Media fluency: you can craft compelling pitches, prep executives, and navigate interviews. Social instincts: you know how to grow executive channels with credibility (not clickbait). Editorial operations discipline: calendars, approvals, QC, and on‑time delivery. Data‑literate: you measure content quality, reach in ICP, and business impact; you iterate based on signal. Grace under pressure; excellent judgment on sensitive topics and crisis response. Bonus: familiarity with tools like HubSpot/Salesforce, Google Workspace, Notion, Figma, simple video/clip workflows.

Compensation:

$100,000 to $140,000 base salary range + annual bonus.
