Sales Representative & Marketing Assistant
36‑40 hours per week, reports to Sales & Marketing Manager. Work location: Real Pickles facility in Greenfield, MA; may require overnight travel.
Real Pickles is a worker‑owned cooperative in Greenfield, MA, producing organic fermented vegetables from Northeast‑grown produce. Our mission is to promote human and ecological health by providing people with delicious, nourishing food and by working toward a regional, organic food system in the Northeast.
We are seeking a highly‑qualified individual, inspired by our mission and interested in exploring worker‑ownership in our co‑op, to fill this role.
Job Duties The Sales Representative & Marketing Assistant supports Real Pickles sales and marketing efforts through:
Maintaining strong customer relationships and promoting brand awareness
Generating leads, closing deals, tracking trends, and increasing sales at current accounts via phone, email, and in‑person communication
Handling customer service tasks such as taking orders, processing invoices, arranging shipments, and occasionally assisting with distribution and representing Real Pickles at weekend events
Working with the Marketing Manager to create and maintain promotional materials and manage online communications, including the website, blog, and social media
Occasional participation in public events and product demonstrations
Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong relationship‑building skills
Effective problem‑solving with customers and co‑workers
Ability to independently manage and prioritize time and responsibilities
Ability to process orders accurately and efficiently
Flexibility and ability to manage several tasks at once
A collaborative and respectful team player
Excellent computer skills and attention to detail
Creativity and strong design skills
Interest in organic, local, and natural food trends
Previous sales and/or marketing experience strongly preferred
Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Compensation and Benefits
$20 per hour
Paid time off benefit
