Summary of Responsibilities The marketing data specialist analyzes and summarizes data to create actionable business intelligence insights. This role leverages data to identify potential marketing service enhancements, monitor current performance, and evaluate best practices. The marketing data specialist works closely with internal marketing teams to review marketing metric-related data and package it for general review.

Primary Responsibilities and Objectives

Assist in gathering and organizing marketing data from various sources, including CRM systems, social media platforms, web analytics tools, internal business intelligence dashboards, and other tools

Ensure data accuracy and integrity through thorough validation and verification processes

Input data into relevant databases and systems, maintaining consistency and completeness

Support senior team members in analyzing marketing campaign performance metrics, such as click-through rates, conversion rates, engagement metrics, cost conversions, and ROI

Assist in segmenting customer data and creating internal reporting based on geographic, behavioral, and psychographic attributes

Learn and apply basic statistical techniques as well as Excel skills to identify trends and patterns in the data

Help prepare reports and presentations summarizing key marketing metrics and findings

Maintain documentation of data collection processes, methodologies, and results for future reference

Collaborate with team members to ensure clear communication of data insights and recommendations

Support A/B testing and experimentation initiatives under the guidance of senior team members

Assist in monitoring ongoing experiments and documenting results for analysis

Contribute ideas and suggestions for optimizing marketing campaigns based on data-driven insights

Actively engage in training sessions and educational opportunities to enhance skills in data analysis, statistical methods, and marketing principles

Stay updated on multi-family and basic marketing industry trends and best practices in marketing analytics and data science

Seek feedback from peers and supervisors to continuously improve performance and expertise

Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, statistics, data analytics, digital marketing, or a related field is strongly preferred

Basic understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies is required

Three to five years of experience with managing online review sites, social media, reputation management practices, website presence, and lead management required

Skills and Requirements

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a passion for data are required

Mastery in Microsoft Excel is required. Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of other Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint is required

Experience in the Yardi Suite of products, RealPage, or other equivalent systems is a plus

Experience using AI and machine learning to drive data-driven insights that inform and optimize our market strategy

Some experience working in a digital, creative, and branding agency is a plus

Basic knowledge of project management software, such as Wrike, is preferred

Experience in Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Microsoft Clarity, and Google Ads is preferred

Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment is a must

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Exceptional project management skills are required

Entrepreneurial mindset and go-getter attitude with proven ability to work independently as well as in a team setting

Ability to maintain a positive demeanor, voracious appetite to learn new things, and excellent professional judgment

Required to complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing and Preventing Discrimination and Harassment training and other courses if assigned

Scheduling Required to maintain a regular schedule, which may also require working outside of the regular schedule, weekends, and non-traditional holidays.

Environment Exposure to an environment typically found in an office building.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds

Must be able to observe and detect signs of emergency through visual and/or auditory cues

Must be able to remain stationary, move around, reach, and position oneself as needed for extended periods

Ability to communicate and express or exchange ideas with others, as well as those activities in which they must convey detailed or important instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly

Ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels, including the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound

Visual requirements including color, depth perception, and field vision

Ability to compare, copy, coordinate, synthesize, negotiate, communicate, and instruct

Ability to tolerate stressful situations

Ability to work under minimal to moderate supervision
