Job Summary Th e Content Operations Resource Specialist role involves specialized expertise in planning and scheduling functions for the Studio Operations team. In addition to managing communication with internal and external partners and personnel scheduling, the Resource Specialist will focus on optimizing resource allocation, streamlining processes, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency. The Resource Specialist will work closely with management to develop and implement strategic initiatives, providing in-depth analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
Responsibilities
Oversee monthly and daily facility and assignment schedules for Content Operations groups, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and programming schedules while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Monitor and implement changes issued by Programming or Production, consulting with the team to adjust facility and staffing needs as necessary and communicating changes effectively to all relevant groups and individuals.
Evaluate and recommend staffing options for shows to compensate for illness, vacations, or other absences, utilizing extensive knowledge and experience to optimize resource allocation.
Analyze and implement facility and staffing solutions to efficiently support routine and complex business needs.
Anticipate complex event traffic information; create analysis to support problem solving.
Proficient knowledge of ESPN and ABC programming.
Proficient knowledge of Bristol, LA, and Charlotte fixed facilities.
Proficient knowledge of specific jobs within assigned scheduling responsibilities, as well as scheduling procedures and systems.
Direct special coverage or projects as required, leveraging skills and experience to drive successful outcomes and improvement.
Attends industry events as it relates to the position.
In all of these responsibilities, positively and professionally represent the brand and model of the ESPN Content Operations Department.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of industry related experience.
Manage tight deadlines with team and lead simultaneous projects.
Proficient with company systems.
Proficient knowledge of organization and logistical skills relating to Content Operations fixed facilities.
Initiate collaboration with peers and external Production and Studio Operations teams.
Proficient in Windows based PC applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
Has and applies an advanced knowledge of the requirements of ESPN’s studio operations functions.
Experience with Smartsheet, SBM/Autoflow, Xytech, and SAP.
Required Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred Education
Bachelor's Degree
Additional Information Position requires ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
