Sr. Communications and Training Specialist

Key Responsibilities
Communications Strategy & Execution:
Work with SEAA and other entities to develop and manage a strategic communications plan for both internal (employees) and external (households, providers, schools) audiences
Draft, edit, and distribute clear and concise communications across multiple channels, including email newsletters, website content, and internal memos
Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure all messaging is accurate, timely, and aligned with project goals
Training Content Development:
Conduct a training needs analysis to identify skill gaps and create a targeted training curriculum for different user groups
Design and create a full suite of training materials, including user manuals, interactive training presentations and workbooks, short video tutorials
Training Delivery & Support:
Deliver engaging virtual training sessions and workshops for internal administrators
Facilitate live Q&A sessions and "office hours" to provide real-time support to users during the transition
Establish and manage a post-launch support plan, including a dedicated communication channel for immediate issues
Change Management:
Act as a change agent, building enthusiasm and buy‑in for the new system among all user groups
Anticipate and proactively address user concerns and resistance to change
Gather and analyze feedback to continuously improve communications and training materials
Required Skills & Qualifications
Communication Excellence:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to translate complex technical information into simple, user‑friendly language for diverse audiences
Instructional Design Experience:
Proven experience in designing and developing training content for software or technology implementations. Knowledge of adult learning principles is a must.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient with content creation and presentation using Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with screen capture and video editing software (e.g., Camtasia, Loom, Snagit) for creating video tutorials
Familiarity with web content management systems (CMS) and knowledge base platforms is a plus
Project Management:
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines simultaneously
Interpersonal Skills:
A collaborative team player with excellent stakeholder management abilities, capable of working with developers, business leaders, and end-users
Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in Communications, Education, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 5 years in similar position
