Job Summary We are looking for a talented and versatile Videographer / Editor to join our in-house Content Team. This role is 80% post-production editing and 20% field production and assistant work, supporting product launches, brand campaigns, and high-impact visual storytelling.

You will report directly to the Creative Director and be responsible for crafting compelling video and photo content that aligns with Alien Gear Holsters’ branding. The ideal candidate has strong experience with DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Creative Suite, and AI-based production tools, with a solid grasp of Sony S-Log workflows, color grading, motion graphics, and photo editing.

Key Responsibilities Video & Photo Editing (80%)

Edit professional, engaging videos for YouTube, web, and social platforms using DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, and After Effects.

Apply advanced color grading techniques, especially using Sony S-Log3/S-Log2 footage, to achieve cinematic, brand-aligned looks.

Design and animate motion graphics, branded titles, and transitions for product and promotional content.

Use AI-enhanced tools (e.g., Topaz, RunwayML, Descript, auto-captioning, intelligent cut detection) to increase production efficiency and creativity.

Edit and retouch photography for product pages, social media, ads, and internal marketing using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.

Organize and manage all media assets, backups, and versioning using a streamlined post-production workflow.

Collaborate with the Creative Director and other team members to brainstorm and execute creative concepts.

Videography & Production Assistance (20%)

Assist with in-studio and field video shoots, operating cameras, setting up lighting, capturing audio, and managing gear.

Operate and support Sony mirrorless camera systems, with a focus on maintaining consistent profiles for S-Log workflows.

Travel and film in outdoor or challenging environments, including ranges, woods, and remote locations—sometimes in adverse conditions (heat, cold, wind, dust).

Follow all firearm safety protocols while working around live weapons, training environments, and professional users.

Support general production needs including setup, breakdown, and assisting other crew members as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of professional video editing experience with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop/Lightroom.

Deep understanding of color grading, especially from Sony S-Log footage.

Skilled in motion graphics design and post-production compositing.

Comfortable working with and around firearms with knowledge of safety procedures (certification a plus).

Physically capable of lifting gear, traveling, and working outdoors in challenging conditions.

Able to take direction, manage time effectively, and work independently as well as part of a team.

Familiarity with AI tools used in content creation and editing workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the firearms, tactical, or outdoor industries.

Familiarity with Adobe Audition, Fusion, and other post tools.

Experience with drone operation (FAA Part 107 certification a plus).

Working knowledge of multi-cam shoots and high frame rate editing.

Interest or background in storytelling, documentary, or product marketing content.
