Sales and Design - Residential Remodeling

Position Summary
The Sales/Design Specialist is responsible for conducting on-site residential remodeling estimates and overseeing the entire sales cycle. This includes creating design layouts, recommending fixtures and finishes, and procurement. The role requires clear and ongoing communication with Project Managers before and during the project to ensure smooth execution and successful project handoff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Estimate interior renovation projects including bathroom, kitchens, attic and basement renovations according to company standards.
Use our software for client documentation, performing follow ups, and creating estimates.
Aid client in fixture and finish selection, ordering, and maintaining record of project material arrivals at warehouse managing returns and re-orders when necessary.
Work with client's designer when needed.
Develop or implement policies, standards, and procedures for work.
Perform administrative functions, such as creating estimates and writing reports, maintaining logs, or purchasing of materials or services.
Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change; manage the process of innovative change effectively.
Communicate relevant project information to appropriate parties, resolve and/or escape issues in a timely fashion. Troubleshooting and resolving problems.
Inspire internal trades to attain goals and pursue excellence.
Participate in development opportunities including training.
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Must have experience in sales of residential renovation projects.
Knowledge of building and trade codes as they apply to interior renovation projects.
Pleasant and confident demeanor when dealing with colleagues and clients
Strong communication skills, including the ability to read, write
Efficient and well organized
Proficiency with calendar and software systems
Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
