The Communications Specialist will collaborate with internal teams to develop and deliver clear, consistent communication materials for internal and external audiences across a variety of channels.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, write, and edit communications for internal and external audiences, including annual report letters, sustainability report content, news releases, presentations, fact sheets, and website content.
Review and edit written and graphic communications to improve structure, clarity, and impact, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with organizational messaging, tone, and style guidelines.
Support internal and external communications prepared for operating divisions and corporate functional teams such as Human Resources (HR), Investor Relations (IR), and Government Relations (GR).
Develop and implement communication strategies for internal EOG teams tailored to specific platforms and audiences.
Assist in the development and delivery of training programs, including frontline, presentation, and other communications related.
Contribute to daily news clips and monitor social media, coordinating with GR and IR to capture and compile news.
Serve as backup for media relations and crisis communications, providing support for inquiries and during incidents.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication initiatives and recommend improvements based on feedback and analytics.
Stay current with trends and technologies in writing, information design, and communications, including traditional and social media channels.

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Information Design, or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in a communications advisory, writing, or information design role.
Oil and gas industry experience preferred but not required.
Strong business, technical, and information design writing skills.
Demonstrated excellence in written communication, with proven ability to tailor content for varied audiences and purposes.
Selected candidates will be required to submit a portfolio showcasing writing and information design and/or graphic communication materials.
Experience in graphic communications and information design for clarity, impact, and accessibility (e.g., infographics, data visualization, structured documents).
Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
Experience with content strategy, digital content management systems, and social media platforms.
