Position Summary This Mechanical Designer will furnish support for all process and product drawings relating to the production of the products that the company manufactures and sells. He/she will interact with all departments of the company relating to the production of parts, and will also maintain a work environment that is conducive to teamwork and solid professional development. He/she will also complete routine CAD tasks using SolidWorks, analyze engineering design documents/specifications and prototypes, and make suggestions concerning required methods, processes, and tools up to and including bill of materials.
Responsibilities
Develop Mechanical designs using SolidWorks
Produce new product production drawings
Update existing product and tooling drawings
Generate and/or complete Change Request Notices when needed
Review customers' drawings and specification
Qualifications, Skills, and Educational Requirements
Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant technical discipline
Previous experience in an engineering and manufacturing setting
Depth of experience in SolidWorks
Strong knowledge in drawing standards (blueprint reading & dimensioning)
Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance)
Excellent verbal and written communication, administrative, organizational and technical skills
