Area Sales Manager -South Central US- Commercial Audio Due to significant growth and expansion, our client is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the South-Central US, specifically supporting major markets in Texas through North Carolina. Managing two successful, established manufacturer representative partners, the Sales Manager will assume responsibility for an established, profitable territory, while they Build, Develop and Expand the Dealer Network in Area. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the ideal candidate should have a solid knowledge base of commercial audio products, especially amplifiers and speakers. The ideal candidate should have at least three years’ experience in sales of commercial audio products and reside within the designated region with established business contacts and relationships. The successful candidate will assist with the development of sales plans, promotions, and other activities and will attend sales and marketing meetings, trade shows and industry events as necessary.

The selected candidate will act as the single point of management for all area sales activity. Responsible for meeting sales targets in the assigned area (i.e. sub-regional territory).

Works with rep firm partners to uncover, monitor and win project sales by working with design/build resellers, consultants, and other project decision makers in the area.

Qualifications

Minimum of five years of technical commercial/professional audio sales, preferably to or from a reseller-based channel

Background in Commercial/Pro audio, sound contracting, sound reinforcement, or commercial audio systems integration

Exceptional communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills necessary.

Must be self-directed, self-motivated

General business, selling, financial, and customer relations skills required.

At least 75% of the time making regular visits to key resellers, consultants, and end-users in the local area. Some additional occasional overnight travel to road shows, trade shows and other special meetings.

The candidate should be able to deliver effective presentations and must demonstrate clear verbal and written communications skills/Technical literacy skills
