Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy aligned with firm priorities, growth goals, and client needs.
Partner with senior leadership to ensure initiatives support business development and thought leadership objectives.
Integrate and apply deep understanding of the private equity ecosystem to shape messaging, campaigns, and events that resonate with those key audiences.
Define and manage the marketing budget, ensuring ROI across campaigns and activities.
Own event strategy and execution across key industry and private equity conferences.
Brand, Content & Thought Leadership:
Elevate and protect the firm’s brand across all channels.
Oversee the creation of high-quality content (articles, case studies, reports, newsletters, presentations) and thought leadership campaigns that highlight our expertise and differentiate us in the marketplace.
Partner with data and analytics team to identify and promote our thought leadership.
Digital Campaigns:
Lead digital marketing, social media, email marketing, and SEO strategy.
Design and oversee integrated campaigns, events, and sponsorships to engage target audiences and generate demand.
Partner with consultants and business development teams to create client‑facing materials, proposals, and tools that enhance business development efforts and ensure consistent messaging.
Implement AI tools to ensure efficient access and use of marketing content.
Drive use of marketing content to support all BD efforts. Ensure marketing initiatives integrate and leverage with CRM.
Measurement & Optimization:
Establish KPIs, track effectiveness of marketing programs, and provide reporting and insights to leadership.
Recommend improvements and future investments based on data and market trends.
Manage internal and external marketing resources, ensuring quality, timeliness, and brand alignment.
Collaborate with HR on internal communications, swag, and employee engagement initiatives that support firm culture.
Other:
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Contribute to Summit’s award‑winning company culture by promoting collaboration, transparency, and professional growth across teams.
Education And/or Work Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
8–10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including leadership in a professional services or consulting environment.
Demonstrated ability to build and execute integrated marketing strategies that drive brand visibility, business growth, and client engagement.
Ability to be market-facing and represent Summit at conferences and key events.
Will develop deep understanding of our target market and services.
Proven experience leveraging AI and automation to ensure efficiencies within marketing function.
Strong content strategy and storytelling skills, with proven experience in thought leadership and professional services marketing.
Familiarity with digital marketing tools, analytics, SEO, and CRM/marketing automation platforms.
Exceptional project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
Excellent leadership and proactivity within the firm and externally in the market.
Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels in a lean, entrepreneurial environment, with direct access to the CEO and firm leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience leading marketing within a management consulting, high‑growth firm.
Experience working with or marketing to private equity firms and their portfolio companies.
Experience with event strategy and execution.
Demonstrated success in positioning firms or practices for growth through marketing and thought leadership.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to commute to the corporate office 1‑2 days per week.
Must be able to work independently and with a secure internet connection (when remote).
Occasional travel if remote (company off‑sites, industry events, etc.).
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
