Senior Missy/Contemporary Designer
Location:
New York, NY (Full-time, On-site – 5 days a week)

$100,000 – $150,000 (based on experience)

The Role We are seeking a
Senior Missy/Contemporary Designer
with deep experience in the off-price apparel space. This individual will lead design from concept through execution, bringing a balance of creativity, commercial awareness, and technical expertise to deliver strong collections tailored to our retail partners.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of missy/contemporary collections across multiple categories.
Create and present trend-right concepts, line presentations, and CADs to internal teams and retail buyers.
Work closely with sales, merchandising, and production teams to align product with customer needs and retail strategies.
Develop and execute seasonal color stories, fabrications, and trim packages.
Ensure design execution aligns with off-price market demands and retail partner expectations.
Oversee and mentor junior design staff as needed.
Requirements
7–10 years of experience
in women’s apparel design, specifically missy/contemporary.
Proven track record working with
off-price retailers
(Ross, Burlington, TJX, etc.).
Strong presentation and CAD skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design tools).
Ability to balance creativity with commercial viability.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Must have strong
technical and fit knowledge , including leading seasonal fittings and working with tech teams to ensure accurate execution.
