Job Summary/Description:
KBTX News 3 is seeking a motivated digital manager to serve as the station’s Executive Producer of Streaming. The Executive Producer – Streaming will oversee KBTX’s digital presence on streaming platforms, including KBTX.com, social video platforms, and connected television devices. They will coordinate KBTX’s approach to streaming video alongside the Digital Content Manager and under the direction of the News Director.
A successful candidate will develop and implement a fluid streaming strategy focused on growing available content and audience. The EP will work side‑by‑side with news management, producers, anchors, and reporters to train staff, establish best practices, and create an environment that actively engages all newsroom employees in streaming content. The EP will also spearhead the implementation of a digital‑exclusive content channel with a focus on delivering timely and relevant OTT content.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Significant experience in digital analytics and planning for digital content.
A proven record of success in the production and distribution of digital content.
Proven leadership skills and excellent news judgment.
Success in growing an organization’s social and digital footprint, especially within key demographics.
Strong writing skills and a background in digital news.
A community‑minded spirit and vision to expand the station’s outreach through coverage of impactful events to the greater region we serve.
A passion for production and storytelling, combined with an unwavering commitment to journalistic ethics and standards.
Ability to work with all digital specialists to ensure social media growth.
Ability to teach and lead by example while using the latest technology.
The Executive Producer – Streaming works within the news department and reports to the News Director. Candidates should also exhibit a good work ethic, strong people skills, and maintain a professional attitude at all times. This position requires availability to work all shifts and may require holiday work.
