Job Description and Duties Effective July 1, 2025 the Personal Leave Program (PLP 2025) requires each full‑time employee to receive a 3 percent reduction in pay in exchange for 5 hours of PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent change.
As a Library Technical Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in reintegrating men and women into society by providing instruction and imaginative escape through literacy. This is a full‑time, permanent position with a fast‑vesting pension plan, up to 14 paid days off per year, and comprehensive benefits.

Individuals eligible for a Training and Development (T&D) assignment may also be considered for this position. Working Conditions The position is located at the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison (SATF) in Corcoran, CA, a short drive from Lemoore Naval Air Station, Yosemite National Park, Pismo Beach, and LAX. The area offers a low cost of living and proximity to Fresno, Hanford, Tulare, and Visalia.
