Role This role is responsible for assisting in all operational duties of the Community Manager, including reporting, rent processing, leasing, marketing, and overseeing the community and associates in the Community Manager's absence.
The incumbent must possess a high degree of professionalism and positive engagement for our residents and the workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain resident satisfaction and retention by responding to complaints, questions, and requests promptly and resolving service issues.
Serve as a resource center for residents on matters affecting their community‑living experience and rent payments.
Organize resident appreciation and retention events.
Maintain confidential resident files.
Answer phones, greet walk‑ins, and manage foot traffic.
Assist with leasing duties, including touring prospective residents.
Collect, post, and deposit rent, security deposits, and other income.
Review resident files and ledger records to determine unpaid or late fees, communicate balances, and enforce lease agreements.
Assist with monthly projection reporting, inspect vacancies, make‑ready apartments, and maintain property for inspections.
Meet regularly with Community Manager and Regional Manager to discuss performance.
Other duties as assigned by Community Manager.
Provide a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
Oversee property operations and staff in Community Manager’s absence.
Support Leasing Consultants in lease signings while ensuring Fair Housing compliance.
Maintain compliance files under direction of Compliance department and Community Manager.
Qualifications
2+ years’ experience as an Assistant Community Manager.
Knowledge of LIHTC/Tax Credit Program.
Excellent communication skills and dedication to customer service.
Track record of bookkeeping and rent collection.
Understanding of landlord/tenant law.
Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws.
Superior interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse personalities; tactful; mature; flexible.
Resourceful and organized.
Computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, email).
Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software.
Professional Skills & Traits
Strong sense of community building and engagement.
Authentic and professional attitude.
Active listening and problem‑solving skills.
Physical Demands
Essential staff required to report to work and adhere to safety protocols.
Frequent sitting, walking, and use of computer, keyboard, mouse, and phone.

Compensation $25 - $28 USD
