WORSHIP/MUSIC PASTOR--COME JOIN OUR AMAZING TEAM
Baybridge Communications LLC, Murrieta, California, us, 92564
This is a full-time, on-campus ministry position with pay commensurate with experience.
By God's amazing grace, the Orchard has been recognized as one of the fastest-growing churches in the nation for the last 10 years. We are a contemporary, dynamic, outward-driven, Christ-focused, conservative, Bible-teaching church full of loving, amazing people. We are looking for a full-time Worship/Music Pastor to oversee the worship of God through music and help people connect with Jesus and grow in their love and devotion to Him.
Our philosophy of ministry comes from the Great Commission and is implemented through what we call E3, which is: Engage with love (evangelism), Equip with truth (discipleship), and Empower with faith (ministry).
God has given us a big, beautiful new home in a beautiful area in Southern California in which we meet to connect with God and each other! Murrieta, Temecula, and Menifee are some of the best places to live and raise a family. Close to the beach, mountains, desert, fishing, and sports.
Come join the miracle of God and our amazing team at the Orchard! As a Worship/Music Pastor at Orchard, you will play a vital role in shaping and supporting the musical worship culture of our church. Through your leadership, creativity, and heart for God, you’ll help create meaningful spaces where people are invited into authentic, passionate worship. You’ll collaborate with creative teams, build and develop musicians and vocalists, and help lead our church in lifting up the name of Jesus. Who You Are: Personal Attributes
You love God deeply and live out a personal, authentic relationship with Jesus. You love people and have a heart to serve them through worship. You’re passionate about excellence—not for perfection’s sake, but because it honors God and inspires others. You bring warmth, humility, and a teachable spirit. You’re enjoyable to work with and carry a contagious enthusiasm for the call of God and the local church. You’re committed to community life and spiritual rhythms—attending services, serving, giving faithfully, and being actively engaged at the Orchard. What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Worship Services
Lead worship in a way that invites authentic engagement—singing, clapping, lifting hands, and encountering God. Communicate clearly and pastorally, creating space for both structure and spontaneous moments of worship. Prepare cohesive and spiritually impactful worship sets that align with the message and flow of each service. 2. Build and Shepherd Creative Teams
Mentor and develop worship team members—vocalists, instrumentalists, and songwriters. Create a team culture built on trust, encouragement, and growth. 3. Arrange Music & Prepare Teams
Assign parts and provide clear resources, including pre-recorded tracks, chord charts, and reference recordings. Collaborate with the audio team to ensure musical arrangements translate clearly and effectively in the final mix. Design smooth, intentional transitions between worship songs and service elements. Build a system and team to consistently deliver rehearsal resources to worship volunteers. 4. Support Other Ministries
Offer creative musical solutions and consultation to other ministry areas as needed. Train and equip volunteers to serve with excellence across various church events and ministries. Your Experience and Skills
A strong foundation in songwriting, arranging, and music production. Excellent vocal ability and instrumental proficiency. Proven leadership and mentoring ability with teams primarily made of volunteers. Skilled in time management, problem-solving, and working under pressure. Ability to lead diverse groups—across generations, cultures, and worship styles. Track record of attracting, developing, and retaining creative talent. Has experience in large church environments over 1000+. How You Lead: Team & Church Culture
Be present and engaged in all rehearsals, creative meetings, and staff gatherings. Model a culture of care, humility, and accountability within your team. Foster an environment where people feel safe to grow, contribute, and take creative risks. How We’ll Measure Success
The creative team is growing in size, skill, and spiritual depth. Worship sets are well-prepared, cohesive, and contribute meaningfully to each service.
