Job Description
As a Software UI Engineer of the Netsec UI team, you will collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and UI engineers to design and deliver the most innovative solution that provides clean, consistent, and performant UI to empower security administrators to do their best work. You will champion best practices in design and implementation, drive the adoption of impactful new technologies, and take on the team’s most complex technical challenges.
Your Impact
As a Software UI Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping how our customers understand and interact with their network security. Your responsibilities include:
- Architecting and developing high‑quality, scalable React components that deliver critical insights and empower users with actionable solutions.
- Leading the creation of a robust and concise design system, including components, libraries, and frameworks, to ensure powerful and consistent frontend applications.
- Proactively identifying challenges and opportunities, proposing and implementing pragmatic solutions to enhance the team’s development workflow and elevate product quality.
- Developing and implementing engineering best practices, with a strong emphasis on test‑driven development, setting the standard for the team.
- Fostering collaborative discussions and building synergy with product stakeholders to deliver an exceptional and cohesive product experience.
Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or equivalent military experience.
- Minimum 4 years of related programming experience.
- Expertise in building web‑based GUI development with excellent ReactJS, TypeScript, and JavaScript programming skills.
- Experience with modern web frameworks and build tools such as React, Redux, Hooks, Webpack, Storybook, and npm/yarn.
- Experience with visualization libraries.
- Experience with creating responsive web applications.
- Ability to work well with a group of senior and junior engineers in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with client‑side modern build tools, CI/CD, Git version control, and Linux environments.
- Good grasp of asynchronous programming.
- Can‑do attitude on problem‑solving, quality, and ability to execute.
- Highly experienced in web application debugging and root‑cause analysis.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with data‑driven visualization.
- Experience with UI test frameworks such as Cypress, Jest, react‑testing‑library, Mocha.
- Able to troubleshoot system‑level integration and performance issues.
- GitHub portfolio or equivalent.
- Familiarity with micro‑frontend architecture patterns and best practices.
- Experience with containerizing applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
- Experience working with Canvas & SVG is a plus.
The Team
NetSec GenAI team, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation, collaborating with AI, data, and visualization experts to architect and develop cutting‑edge interactive UI components powered by generative AI.
Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non‑sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $126,000/YR and $204,500/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
