Lofi Studio, Inc. is hiring: 2D Character Animator in Friendly

We’re looking for a skilled and passionate 2D Character Animator to bring emotion and movement to our characters through traditional frame‑by‑frame animation. You'll join a collaborative team working on high-quality animated loops and narrative sequences across original and branded content.

You’ll work closely with the art director, storyboard artists, and clean‑up team to give life to key scenes and ensure animation feels expressive, fluid, and story‑driven.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Suggest creative ideas for current projects or submit new project ideas
• Effectively create animation loops
• Master natural and smooth human body movements as well as pets' movements
• Understanding our characters' anatomy and adapting it in various situations
• Master lighting, mood and atmospheric animations
• Collaborate closely with and take direction from our artistic director
• Implement changes and completely finished shots in accordance with schedules
• Maintain an open and professional demeanor regarding direction, changes and shifting requirements

REQUIREMENTS

• 3 years of experience in animation
• Good understanding of Lofi Girl's character design as well as her cat's
• Understanding of the mood and vibe of the different types of Lofi Music
• Proficient in Photoshop
• Proficient in After Effects and the traditional animation software of your choice
• Good level of English or French
• Familiar with the Lofi Girl universe
