Jefferson County Public Health is seeking a Public Health Communication Specialist. Work within a team to build engaging and informative Jefferson County Public Health communication platforms that strategically disseminate time‑sensitive emergency, educational, and general information about the department, its services, and programs. Platforms for disseminating information may include, but are not limited to, social media, website, print media, and outreach at public events.

Education and/or Experience

Associate’s degree (A.A.) in a computer‑related field, journalism, public relations, communications, or related field; AND two (2) years of related experience in web production or website management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

AND

Two (2) years of experience working with graphic design software and other tools used in the maintenance and design of social media and other internet‑based communications.

UFCW, 40 hours/week. Grade 28, starting pay typically $28.71/hr. Full hourly range $28.71-$34.28/hr. DOE.
