Social Media Influencer / Content Creator
Forging Ahead Inc. is a Canadian not‑for‑profit charity that helps veterans and first responders dealing with PTSD through artistic blacksmithing. We are looking for a volunteer Social Media Content Creator to manage and grow our online presence.
Responsibilities
- Creating engaging content (posts, reels, stories, and graphics) for social media platforms.
- Developing and executing strategies to expand our audience and increase engagement.
- Showcasing our classes, events, and community impact.
- Collaborating with our Board and team to align content with our mission and goals.
- Potential to work alongside a local production company and gain experience in film and documentary projects.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Creativity in developing compelling social media content.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Experience with Canva, Photoshop, or video editing software (an asset).
Skills Gained

- Networking with veterans, first responders, and community partners.
- Exposure to the film and documentary industry (tentative, through potential partnerships).

Time Commitment: Daytime, Evening, Weekend, Micro Volunteering, Remote Volunteering, Flexible Hours.
Location: Eastman.
