Social Media Influencer / Content Creator

Forging Ahead Inc. is a Canadian not‑for‑profit charity that helps veterans and first responders dealing with PTSD through artistic blacksmithing. We are looking for a volunteer Social Media Content Creator to manage and grow our online presence.

Responsibilities

  • Creating engaging content (posts, reels, stories, and graphics) for social media platforms.
  • Developing and executing strategies to expand our audience and increase engagement.
  • Showcasing our classes, events, and community impact.
  • Collaborating with our Board and team to align content with our mission and goals.
  • Potential to work alongside a local production company and gain experience in film and documentary projects.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Creativity in developing compelling social media content.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Canva, Photoshop, or video editing software (an asset).

Age: 18‑30, 31‑54, 55+.

Time Commitment: Daytime, Evening, Weekend, Micro Volunteering, Remote Volunteering, Flexible Hours.

Location: Eastman.
