Sr. Manager, Creator and Advocacy Programs
The MongoDB Communications team is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Sr. Manager of Creator and Advocacy Programs to own the success of two key marketing channels: the external developer influencer program and the internal employee advocacy program. Based in the United States, this role offers a hybrid working model.
- Own the Closed‑Loop Program: design, implement, and own the reporting framework to drive continuous improvement; track and analyze data to connect creator and advocacy activities directly to key business outcomes, such as sign‑ups, feature adoption, and event attendance.
- Strategic Program Ownership: develop the program strategies for both creator and advocacy initiatives, set goals, define KPIs, and manage budgets to ensure a strong return on investment.
- Cross‑Functional Integration: act as the central hub for all related activity, collaborating closely with Developer Advocacy, Product Marketing, and Social Media teams to integrate programming into broader campaigns.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting: routinely analyze campaign performance and deliver clear, concise reports to leadership and stakeholders with actionable insights.
- Influencer Resource Enablement: equip external partners with product messaging, technical resources, and content assets needed to manage influencer relationships and campaigns.
- Employee Advocacy Platform Management: oversee day‑to‑day operations of the MongoDB Advocacy platform (Sprinklr), manage user access, publish content, and provide support.
- Advocacy Content Curation and Approval: curate, schedule, and publish a steady stream of relevant content (blogs, videos, announcements) for employees to share; review and approve or reject user‑submitted content.
- Targeted Content Strategy: manage and publish targeted content streams, such as the "Thought Leadership" list, to reach specific internal audiences like executives.
- Internal Engagement and Gamification: drive program adoption and engagement by owning the weekly advocacy newsletter, managing quarterly leaderboards, and distributing rewards via Bonusly.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience: 5+ years program management, partner marketing, or agency management in a B2B or developer‑focused tech company; direct experience managing marketing agencies is a plus.
- Employee Advocacy Experience: proven track record managing an employee advocacy program, preferably using Sprinklr, Bambu, or GaggleAMP.
- Proven Success: measurable business results from managing third‑party relationships and internal programs.
- Data‑Driven Mindset: highly analytical, expert at using data to measure performance, demonstrate ROI, and drive strategic decisions; closed‑loop reporting experience.
- Exceptional Communication & Stakeholder Management: world‑class communication skills, adept at aligning external partners and internal stakeholders and reporting to leadership.
- Strategic Thinker: ability to translate broad business objectives into actionable strategy for external partners and internal programs.
- Ecosystem Knowledge: strong understanding of the developer landscape, key platforms (YouTube, Twitch, X, blogs), and content that resonates with technical audiences.
- Internal Community Building: passion for building internal community with gamification, newsletters, and rewards.
- Project Management Skills: excellent organization, operational oversight, and accountability for deadlines and deliverables.
